After combining teaching soft furnishings with running my own business specialising in creative arts such as beading, card-making and fabric design, a common theme became apparent - Native Americans.

Interested in Native American crafts and culture for many years, it was a natural progression to combine these two obsessions! Hence, The Native American Bead Company was born. My desire was to bring Native American culture to a wider audience in a crafting arena which is always looking for new ideas and inspirations. My aims are to provide people with a flavour of the beautiful and diverse skills of a traditional people, whose thoughts and beliefs are probably more relevant today than when they were first spoken and to offer an access point to Native American crafting.

I wanted to provide individuals with the ability to purchase "authentic" type products so they can experience crafting, the Native American way.

You will find many Native American wisdoms and sayings on pages throughout this site. All bead purchases and indeed many other products bought from this site, come with descriptions and histories of their significance to Native Americans and offer an understanding of how Native Americans respect each other, all of Nature and the Earth we all share.
