For some Native Americans, bead-working represents a respect for their origin and an attempt to convey to their children some concepts of a culture which is being eroded. For others, including the "Wa-sheet-choo" ( white man; outsider ), beading is an interesting and instructive hobby which gives us an insight into the values of Native American cultures.
